“My hope is that they see just as many women that look like them when they venture out into the great outdoors by bike, or by foot, up a mountain, or down a trail.” -Brooke Goudy

Brooke “Rowdy” Goudy is an athlete, bicycle advocate, and outdoor adventurer. She is the operational manager and owner of Rowdy Goudy, a health and wellness organization dedicated to introducing outdoor adventure sports to women of color, and reshaping perceptions of active living, inspiring others to embrace the great outdoors. Whether she's cycling through picturesque landscapes, carving fresh powder on snow-covered slopes, casting lines while fly fishing, or simply relishing in the tranquility of a camping trip, Brooke's love for nature knows no bounds. And when the day's adventures wind down, there's nothing she enjoys more than firing up the grill on a perfect Colorado day, savoring the moment with a refreshing IPA in hand.

Brooke works as registered nurse with a speciality in and asthma and teaches pediatric nursing at the postsecondary and adult education arm of the Denver Public School system. She is a certified CPR and first aid instructor and provides first aid and CPR instruction to athletes and outdoor enthusiasts ensuring they are equipped with life-saving skills for emergencies in remote environments. Additionally, as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance focusing on Trauma Informed yoga, Brooke promotes holistic wellness by addressing both physical and emotional needs.

Representation matters and so does making long term policies and laws that break down barriers for marginalized communities to enjoy nature in any way that they see fit. Brooke serves on the Denver Mayor Advisory board, and is a member of the Denver Parks and Recreation Technical Advisory Committee. Having a seat at these tables allows her to identify the communities’ needs, and prioritize opportunities to support equity, inclusion, and diversity in outdoor adventure sports.

During the summer of 2021, she rode the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route and developed a love and enthusiasm for bikepacking, and continues to participate in long distance endurance challenges like the Westfjords Way Challenge, 960 kilometers/ 595 miles around Iceland's most beautiful and remote landscape.

Special thanks to Brooke Goudy’s partners that continue to make it possible to break down barriers and spread the joy of cycling to historically underrepresented groups- @PearlIzumiOfficial, @YetiCycles, @fattire, @bestdaybrewing, @jojébar , @chamoisbuttr, @wildernesstrailbikes (WTB), @deuter_usa, @topeak , @garmincycle, @drinkbivo, and @strava.
